Bio: Gabriel “GBlaze” Payne, born on November 12, 2010, in Pittsburgh, PA, is a determined and talented young racer with Newgen Motorsport. Gabriel’s racing journey began indoors in January 2021, and he quickly moved to outdoor races by October 2023. His passion for racing was sparked by watching races and playing racing games, which introduced him to the thrilling skills and excitement of the sport. Known for his controlled and opportunistic racing style, Gabriel excels in race starts, reading the race, and consistently hitting his marks. His favorite track, Pittrace, offers a mix of fast sections and tight corners that test his skill in understanding apexes.
Gabriel’s dedication to racing has led to significant achievements, including a 2nd place finish in the Whiteland Raceway Park Championship and victories at his home track, Pittrace, and at Whiteland Raceway Park, the home track of his sponsors. His current sponsors include Newgen Motorsport, Ghost Engines, Matrix Concepts, and Millenium Trailers.
Outside of racing, Gabriel enjoys gaming, flying, and engineering. He is also dedicated to mentoring younger drivers and aims to become more involved in community activities. Gabriel’s long-term goal is to advance into a major racing series and make racing his profession. He values the relationships and support he has received throughout his journey and looks forward to forging new connections and learning more about the sport.

Open to learning from experienced racers, he has applied these lessons to his education, even being published in his school literary magazine with a poem about racing.
