Bio: Dmytro Penkivskyy, also known as Penkivskyy, is an emerging talent in the world of karting. Born on October 15, 2007, in the city of Ternopil, Ukraine, Dmytro has been passionate about sports from a young age, engaging in karate, MMA, and tennis. However, it was at the age of 13 when he first experienced karting, and his life changed forever. His local karting club, one of only four in Ukraine, became the place where Dmytro discovered his true calling.

Dmytro’s racing career began in October 2021, driven by his love for speed, adrenaline, and his dream of becoming an F1 pilot. Known for his balanced, concentrated, speedy, and stable racing style, he demonstrates remarkable courage, out-of-the-box thinking, and quick reactions on the track. His favorite track is the South Garda Karting in Lonato, Italy, due to its exciting layout with ups and downs, straights, and chicanes.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing war in Ukraine, Dmytro has persevered and achieved significant milestones. In 2024, he won the Championship of Ukraine in the “OK SENIOR” class and placed second in the same class in the 2023 Cup of Ukraine. He also competed in the Rok Superfinal World Championship, finishing 18th in the “Rok SVR” class.

Dmytro’s short-term goals include participating in prestigious series like the WSK and Champions of the Future. His long-term aspiration is to become a professional F1 pilot. Off the track, Dmytro enjoys playing tennis and working out in the gym to improve his physical capabilities.

Dmytro’s journey is marked by determination and resilience. His father has been his unwavering supporter and sponsor throughout his racing career. Despite the limited opportunities due to the pandemic and war, Dmytro continued to train diligently with his mechanic, constantly striving for improvement.

In 2023, Dmytro’s perseverance paid off when he competed in the Ukrainian Cup, securing second place overall. The following year, he dominated the Ukrainian Championship, winning all four stages and becoming the 2024 Ukrainian Champion in the “OK” class. His impressive performance in the Romanian Championship in the Rotax Senior class also earned him an invitation to the Rok Superfinal World Championship, where he finished 18th despite challenging weather conditions.

For Dmytro, karting is not just a sport; it is his life’s passion. He dreams of achieving new victories, earning podium finishes, and ultimately standing on the Formula 1 podium. Dmytro approaches his goals with great responsibility and determination, training extensively both on and off the track.
